Away's Large Aluminium Edition is a full-size checked suitcase in bead-blasted anodised aluminium, with recessed TSA-approved combination locks, Hinomoto silent-glide wheels, and an interior compression system that hides luggage straps behind a mesh panel. The shell will dent and scuff over a decade of belt-loading — the point is that it earns its patina. Inside: two zippered compartments, a laundry bag, and a hidden USB pass-through for the removable battery. It's the case for the traveler who checks luggage on principle, and prefers the version of the aluminium suitcase that costs less than the German original without giving up the engineering.
