Bang & Olufsen's Beosound Level is a portable-yet-serious speaker in a milled-aluminium frame with a woven Kvadrat wool grille. Placed flat it fires 360°, stood upright it beams stereo; a built-in sensor detects orientation and re-balances the drivers automatically. Inside: five Class-D amplifiers, a 4.5-inch woofer, two full-range drivers, and two tweeters, all tuned by B&O's Struer engineers. Battery lasts up to sixteen hours, and the modular architecture means the streaming board is replaceable when standards move on. It's a speaker built to be lived with for a decade — the shelf, the kitchen, the terrace, and eventually a service module that keeps it current.
