The Speedmaster is the watch that went to the moon and never left the wrist. Omega's manual-wind chronograph has been in continuous production since 1957, with the same 42 mm asymmetric case, twisted lugs, and tri-compax dial that NASA qualified for extravehicular use in 1965. At its center is the Master Chronometer-certified Calibre 3861 — a modern take on the original 321 movement, resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss and accurate to a few seconds a day. The hesalite crystal is soft, warm, and correct; the steel bracelet is understated. It's the reference chronograph for anyone who thinks of a watch as a piece of history you're allowed to wind up every morning.
Swiss watchmaker with a deep horological catalogue.
